USGKZ Interview Chapter9. Future Plans
▶ What are your upcoming plans and the style you aim for in the future?
USGKZ: I'll continue with the current style for LARGE400 and IdolPunch. As for SK8NIKS, I'm thinking of making an album next year (2019).
▶ So, USGKZ&The Equipments is about honing your skills through live performances?
USGKZ: That's right. I have a sort of distinction in my mind. SK8NIKS is where I do hardcore and punk music, IdolPunch is its own unique style, and LARGE400 is the space where I can create music without thinking too much. But LARGE400 is challenging because I can't do live performances or recordings easily. It's where I want to focus on making music that truly represents myself. That's also why I have my solo work.
▶ If all the members of LARGE400 were based in Osaka and were constantly performing live, do you think you would still do solo work?
USGKZ: That's a possibility. But there was also an aspect of longing for solo work, like wanting to give it a try someday. So, I think I would have done it anyway. For USGKZ&The equipments, I'll keep doing live shows and hopefully make an album around next year.
▶ Do you have plans to distribute the USGKZ&The Equipments album you released this year to other places?
USGKZ: Right now, I've only been selling it directly, but I'm considering exploring other avenues.
(Note: Now it’s on many music subscription service such as Apple Music and Spotify!!)
▶ In terms of the overall outlook, are you planning to maintain this pace going forward?
USGKZ: I hope everything can continue. LARGE400 and IdolPunch are long-distance bands, so we don't perform live too frequently. SK8NIKS has a bit of a club vibe, like hanging out with friends for drinks. USGKZ&The Equipments is like a form of training.
